Adventure Team
Alumni Program

Let's continue your journey along the Trail to Success!

Once you’re a Day Camp, Private Session, or KCAT Club family, your Adventure Team is always part of the KCAT Community. For life!

As I prepare to move, I wanted to create something specifically for my current and past clients so you can keep progressing, keep training, and keep getting support from me even after I relocate. The Adventure Team Alumni Program is designed to help you and your pet continue on the Trail to Success, polish skills, and stay connected as part of the KCAT Community.

You and your pet are not beginners anymore. This program is about continuing your journey, not starting over.

What Happens After Laura Moves?

When I move, the main way I will continue supporting my training clients in Iowa will be through the King’s Creatures Adventure Team Club. The Club includes monthly training plans, challenges, live Zooms, and guidance so you always know what to work on next.

The Alumni Program includes Club membership so you are not on your own after your Brush Up Weeks are over. You will still have a plan, structure, and support, and you will still be part of the KCAT Community.

You are not starting over with a new trainer. You are continuing your journey with the same system, the same goals, and the same lifelong support.

Pet Socials

Pet Socials this summer are a great opportunity to practice real world skills and meet other members of the KCAT Community.

Many of the dogs and handlers you’ll meet at Pet Socials are working toward the same goals you are: therapy animal work, public access skills, calm behavior in real world environments, and adventure-ready pets. When you come to Pet Socials, you’re not just training, you’re meeting other Adventure Teams in the Iowa KCAT Community who you can continue practicing with into the fall and beyond.

My goal has always been to build not just trained Adventure Teams, but a community of people who can keep training, meeting up, and supporting each other long after a program ends.

Pet Socials are where Adventure Teams practice real life, and where KCAT Community connections begin!

Need More Than a Brush Up?

Some pets may benefit from a full Day Camp program rather than a Brush Up Week, especially if you are working toward therapy animal work, off leash reliability, or more advanced real world skills.

If you’re not sure whether a Brush Up Week or a full Day Camp program is the right next step, just let me know when you email and I’ll help you decide.

A Note from Laura

Training doesn’t end when Day Camp ends. And it doesn’t end when I move.

My goal has always been to help you build an Adventure Team — an educated, confident handler and a pet you can truly live life with, whether that means therapy animal work, travel, patios, parks, visits, or just a calm, easy life at home. The Adventure Team Alumni Program is for the families who want to keep going, keep improving, and keep being part of this community.

I’m really proud of the work you and your pets have already done, and I would love to keep working with you in person and online.

Love, purrs, and wiggle butts,

Share Your Adventure Team Story

If you and your pet have been part of Day Camp, Private Sessions, the KCAT Club, or Pet Socials, you’re part of the KCAT Community and part of this story.

If training has helped your pet feel calmer, more confident, safer in public, or helped you do more things together, I would love if you shared your experience so future Adventure Teams can see what’s possible.

Your story helps other people see that therapy animals and adventure pets aren’t just something you see online. They’re something real families can build with the right training, structure, and support.

Not sure what to write about? You could share:

  • What your pet was like before training

  • What you worked on

  • What your pet can do now

  • Where you’re able to go together now (parks, patios, visits, stores, travel, etc.)

  • If you’re working toward therapy animal work
