Camps

A training consultation is required prior to booking any Day Camp.

Quick training results while you work! With three intensive training sessions during your work week, your pet will start to transform into the well-behaved pet of your dreams. Field trips to pet-friendly locations (stores, restaurant patios, parks, and more!) will ensure that your pet's training can hold up around a variety of distractions. Video recaps and training handouts will coach you through continuing your pet's training between sessions and hands on follow-up sessions ensure you and your pet are able to continue everything you've learned once your Day Camp is complete.


Day Camp Sessions last 1.5-2 hours and are scheduled at the same time Tuesday-Thursday each week (8am, 10:30am, or 2pm). Camp Follow Up Sessions may be scheduled at your convenience on week day evenings or any time during business hours on Fridays and Saturdays.

There are a variety of Day Camp packages available to meet the needs of you and your pet!

The Homebody

This 2 week Day Camp program is ideal for busy owners looking for their pet to master some basic obedience and at home manners. This is a great fit for puppies and kittens that need foundational training. Each pet will learn the following:

  • Sit-Stay

  • Down-Stay

  • Loose leash walking

  • Place

  • Recall

These skills will be taught in your home and on leash. You and your pet will be introduced to the techniques needed to continue training and working towards phasing out the leash and proofing training in a variety of situations.

What's included?

  • 2 Weeks of Day Camp (Six 1.5-2 hour day camp sessions including up to 2 field trips) while you are away

  • Video summaries of each session

  • Training handouts

  • Two 1 hour hands-on follow up sessions

  • Training tools

  • Lifelong training support

A place cot and a training collar or harness specifically selected for the needs of your pet are included in this program! (Up to $150 value!)

The Socializer

This 4 week Day Camp program is ideal for busy owners looking for their pet to master advanced basic obedience and at home manners and begin off leash training. This is a great fit for younger pets that need foundational training and socialization. Each pet will learn the following:

The Explorer

This 6 week Day Camp program is ideal for pets that need to sort through minor behavioral issues such as leash reactivity and inappropriate play styles or for pets with specific advanced obedience goals such as a Canine Good Citizen title. This is a great fit for pets of any age that need polished obedience and structured socialization. Each pet will learn the following:

  • Sit-Stay

  • Down-Stay

  • Loose leash walking

  • Place

  • Recall

These skills will be taught in your home, on leash in a variety of distraction levels, and off leash in lower levels of distraction. You and your pet will be coached through the techniques needed to continue training and working towards phasing out the leash and proofing training in a variety of situations.

What's included?

  • 6 Weeks of Day Camp (Eighteen 1.5-2 hour day camp sessions including 9 field trips) while you are away

  • Video summaries of each session

  • Training handouts

  • Four 1 hour hands-on follow up sessions

  • Lifelong training support

The Adventurer

Whether you're running errands or exploring the great outdoors, this 8 week Day Camp program is designed to help you enjoy all of life's adventures with your pet. Your pet can become the ideal adventure companion, both on and off leash! This training program can also prepare you pet for therapy work in a variety of facilities and situations.

Behavioral

Day Camp

Behavioral Day Camps are uniquely designed to help pets with significant behavioral issues. While there is no guarantee that pets that have learned they can effectively use aggressive techniques to defend themselves won't do so again, a training program that emphasizes solid obedience as well as permanent management techniques may allow you and your pet to live happily together again.

Before registering for a Behavioral Day Camp, it is imperative that everyone in the household dedicates to following through on the training and structure learned throughout the Day Camp and maintaining management and structure throughout the life of the pet.

What's included?

  • A minimum of eighteen 1.5-2 hour day camp sessions while you are away

  • Video summaries of each session

  • Training handouts

  • Four 1 hour hands-on follow up sessions

  • Training tools

  • Lifelong training support

A place cot, a training collar or harness, and an e-collar specifically selected for the needs of your pet are included in this program! (Up to $350 value!)

All dogs and cats in your home must be current on rabies & distemper vaccines and you must provide proof of a fecal exam within the last year with no parasite seen for participation in any services. A current bordetella vaccine is also required for each dog.

Other vaccine and medical requirements may apply to your species of pet.

* Travel fees may apply to services provided outside the immediate Cedar Rapids area. There will be a 50% cancellation fee applied to services cancelled within 48 hours of the scheduled start time. *
